The Service
Virtual Oranges provides an AI chat agent service for business websites. This includes: scraping your website to build a knowledge base, deploying an AI chat widget on your site, and ongoing maintenance and updates.
The service is offered as a monthly subscription at the rates listed on our pricing page.
Your Subscription
- Billing — You are billed monthly in advance via PayPal subscription.
- Cancellation — You can cancel anytime. Your service continues until the end of the paid period. No refunds for partial months.
- Price changes — We'll give you at least 30 days notice before changing your subscription price.
- Setup — Setup is included in your subscription. There are no additional setup fees.
What We Provide
- An AI chat widget installed on your website
- An AI knowledge base trained on your website content
- Monthly knowledge base updates (bi-weekly for Pro subscribers)
- Technical support via email
- Ongoing maintenance of the AI agent
What You Provide
- A publicly accessible website URL for us to train the AI on
- Access to paste one line of code into your website (or we can do this for you)
- Accurate information about your business
- Prompt payment of your monthly subscription
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use our service to:
- Deceive, defraud, or mislead your website visitors
- Provide false or misleading information through the AI agent
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of third parties
- Distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
We reserve the right to terminate service without refund if these terms are violated.
AI Limitations
Our AI agent is trained on your website content and designed to answer customer questions accurately. However:
- AI can occasionally make mistakes or misunderstand questions
- The AI is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
- You are responsible for reviewing the AI's responses and ensuring they are appropriate for your business
- We recommend testing the agent before directing customers to it
Intellectual Property
Your website content remains yours. We use it only to train your AI agent. The widget code and underlying AI infrastructure are owned by Virtual Oranges. You receive a license to use the widget for the duration of your subscription.
Uptime & Service Availability
We aim for 99%+ uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance. Unplanned downtime is addressed as quickly as possible.
Service availability depends on third-party providers including Anthropic (AI) and Vercel (hosting). Outages on their end are outside our control.
Limitation of Liability
Virtual Oranges is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the most recent billing period.
Termination
By you: Cancel your PayPal subscription at any time. Service ends at the end of your paid period.
By us: We may terminate your service for violation of these terms, non-payment, or if we discontinue the service entirely (with 30 days notice).
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify you by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.
